- Orfan Park - 2050 St. Albert the Great Drive -- 2 tennis courts striped for pickleball
315 Park Street, has a 1/3 mile dirt racetrack which has been run by the Volunteer Fire Company since 1903. Racing occurs select Sunday approximately Memorial Day until Labor Day. Special racing events and the weather may alter the schedule. The full race schedules shows about two times. a month. The races were sanctioned by the Badger Midget Auto Racing Association (BMARA), WI Dirt Legends, Sprint Cars, Winged Sprint cars and WI WingLESS Sprints.
Auto racers from as far away as New Zealand have raced on this track along with NASCAR legends Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart.
Along with the racetrack, Angell Park is also the home to the Dream Park and the Sun Prairie Sweet Corn Festival held the third full weekend in August. The Pavilion seats 400+ guests, with flexibility for any event.
Sun Prairie Fields, Courts & Pools
Athletic fields, softball diamonds, pickleball, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, along with the Family Aquatic Center are available for rent. To check availability or to make a reservation request, please visit the Facility Availability page.
Sun Prairie Family Aquatic Center space is available for private rentals, swim & dive matches. Features include: 8-lane competitive area, two diving boards, 2 sand volleyball courts, shade & picnic shelters, concession stand and bathhouse.

Sun Prairie Ice Arena | A 91,000 square foot facility with two ice rinks. Year-round: Private social space is available for corporate functions, team building and social events. Great for youth gatherings as you can combine ice skating & party time. |
The Oaks Golf Course Event Center | The par-71, 18-hole track is a great outing course. It’s challenging enough for better golfers, while enjoyable for your duffers. The Junior Golf Program welcomes coaches youth ages 6 and up. The indoor golf uses TrackMan technology so you can play simulated tournaments all year long. |
Sun Prairie Area School District
The Sun Prairie Area School District (SPASD) owns 2.2 million square feet of building space and 475 acres of property. The District is comprised of 9 elementary schools, 3 middle schools and 3 high schools housed in 14 buildings in the city of Sun Prairie. The District also has a multi-purpose stadium, a District Support Center, a Professional Learning Center and a Wellness Clinic.
The newest building is Sun Prairie West High School which opened its doors to students in 2022. Due to the support of our taxpayers through successful referendums in 2016 and 2019, every building in the District has had some form of major renovation.
The District's Facilities and Grounds team also maintains 3 tennis court facilities, 3 running tracks, and multiple synthetic and natural grass baseball, softball, soccer, football and lacrosse fields. The Bank of Sun Prairie Stadium at Ashley Field is a showcase stadium, able to seat 4,000 spectators and host competition Football, Soccer and Lacrosse competitions as well as numerous other events on the 106,000 square foot artificial turf surface.
Bank of Sun Prairie Stadium at Ashley Field hosts high school & Collegiate football games, WIAA State Lacrosse tournament, rugby, soccer, marching bands, concerts and much more.
