Emily Balsley – Sun Prairie City Hall

Emily Balsley is an illustrator and muralist living in Madison, WI.  Her work includes book and editorial illustration, games and puzzles, posters, maps and murals.  With over 50 murals under her belt, she loves bringing people together through art.  Her stylized approach is colorful and bold, with a touch of quirk – and often features whimsical creatures, people, animals and flowers.  She is active in the creative community: visiting schools, mentoring young artists, and serving on the Design and Illustration Advisory Board at Madison College.

Brittany Johnson – Sun Prairie Chamber of Commerce

Brittany is a dynamic artist and muralist based in Austin, TX, celebrated for her vibrant and distinctive portrayals of female figures.  With a foundation in traditional oil painting, she expanded her expertise into spray paint and street art, embracing Austin’s creative scene.  Recently she’s returned to her roots in brush painting to achieve a more painterly aesthetic.  Her ever-evolving style blends bold colors with realism, capturing the beauty of flora, fauna, portraiture and local elements.

Floyd Mendoza – Glass Nickel

Floyd Mendoza III is a 28-year-old self-taught artist from Pasadena, TX, recognized for his vibrant style and wide-ranging body of work.  As an international artist, he has traveled to Mexico and Belize, using his art to connect with diverse communities and cultures.  His work spans large-scale murals, detailed portraits, and digital design, all rooted in strong visual storytelling.  Floyd continues to push his creative boundaries while creating work that brings passion, energy and originality to every piece.

Hannah Webb – Pit Stop Pub

Hannah, also known as “The Obanoth” on social media, is a Los Angeles based studio artist and muralist, with a focus on dynamic abstracted realism.  Although her signature art style is graphic, the work is rooted in a fine arts background, and she begins all pieces with a brush regardless of the size of the project.  With public art, she likes to reflect the industrial nature of human-made spaces with her hard-edged painting style, creating motifs of animals and nature to create visual balance between organic and mechanical.  She’s created many large-scale murals across the world and loves to learn about new communities as she travels to create.

Mayela Finol – Sun Prairie Dream Park

Originally from Venezuela, Mayela Finol has established residence in Wisconsin for about 23 years.  Within this time frame, she has embraced the roles of a wife and mother to two children.  Her academic journey culminated in attaining a bachelor’s degree from Edgewood College, specializing in Art Therapy and Fine Arts.

Professionally, Mayela’s tenure spans over 13 years within the Madison School District, where her focus lies in education and therapeutic intervention for children grappling with behavioral challenges.  This engagement has afforded her invaluable insights into the intricate dynamics of behavioral management and the transformative potential of artistic expression in fostering emotional well-being and personal growth among youth.  She previously served as the mural production manager for Developing Artists and Mural Alliances, a nonprofit organization in Madison, WI, dedicated to fostering youth development through collective art experiences.  @mayelafinol

Alexia Folkman – Faded Roots Boutique

Alexia Folkman is a graphic designer and artist currently based in Sun Prairie, WI, originally from Northeast Wisconsin.  Although design has shaped much of her professional experience, she has always been drawn to illustration, drawing, and painting as creative outlets.  Her work, whether it’s pixels on a screen or paint on a canvas, is influenced by a love for color, texture, and storytelling.

Wingchow – Public Enemy Smoke and Poke

Wingchow is a Chinese-American muralist and fine artist whose works can often be recognized by distinctive, colorful and amorphous forms.  These playful shapes can either take center stage or create atmosphere, as her work ranges from pure abstraction to loose symbolic narrative.  Her imagery is often influenced by nature, and viewers are invited to navigate dreamlike spaces that are both welcoming and unknown.  She is inspired by simply joys, a search for meaning, and the unseen connections in between.  Her works can be found on walls and in galleries across the United States and beyond.
