DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun and festive Scarecrow Contest\, where creativity and community spirit come together!\n\n\nHelp us decorate Downtown Sun Prairie for fall! Create a scarecrow to be displayed October 3–31. \nDesign your scarecrow as a fairytale character\, storybook figure\, animal\, fantasy creation—or anything you can dream up! Fun or frightening\, bright colors and unique materials are encouraged. \nView Scarecrows in person or on the Downtown Sun Prairie Facebook page. \nEntry form will be available in August \nKey Dates\n\nFame Pickup: Throughout September\n\nDaily at Beans n Cream and Bank of Sun Prairie (downtown locations during regular business hours)\nSaturday at the Farmers Market info tent\n\n\nEntry Drop-Off: Saturday\, October 3\, 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. at the Downtown Sun Prairie Farmers’ Market.\nDisplay Dates: October 3–31.\n\nConstruction Guidelines\n\nMust withstand Wisconsin’s October weather (sun\, wind\, rain).\nAll decorations must be securely attached.\nShoes must be sewn on (if used).\nNo straw (fire hazard)\, lights\, lanterns\, or perishable items.\nMust be able to move in one piece\, with no loose props.\nSize: Minimum height 4’\, maximum height 10’; maximum width 4’.\n\nJudging\n\nEntries are judged at 12 pm on October 3rd on originality\, quality\, and design.\nWinners will be announced on the Downtown Sun Prairie Facebook page by Monday\, October 5th.\nCrowd favorite is determined by voting on Facebook throughout October. Dance to Halloween music\, show off your costume in our Costume Parade\, get creative with Halloween-themed art\, and enjoy pizza and drinks. \nAnd don’t miss our Spooky Stops! Throughout the museum\, families will discover special Halloween-themed activity stops filled with silly challenges\, hands-on fun\, a little slime\, plenty of pumpkins\, some treats\, and opportunities to move\, create\, and play. You’ll have to come to Boo Bash to discover them all! \nBoo Bash is a private\, ticketed event\, which means ticket holders get exclusive access to the museum for the evening!
