Focused Dog Training Donation 2017
The Sun Prairie Police Department would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to Jayson Fogle, a resident of Sun Prairie and owner of Focused Dog Training, for his continued support of our departments K9 program. Over the past year that K9 Lasko has been serving the community, Jayson has generously supported the program by providing equipment as well as financial donations. Thank you Jayson and Focused Dog Training for your support of our K9 program!
YMCA Volunteer Award & Community Partnership Award 2017
Officer Tommy Foy received the YMCA’s Volunteer Award for his efforts at the Northeast YMCA, efforts that included coaching youth sports and participating in the Friday Nights at the Y program. Chief Anhalt and Assistant Chief Faust also accepted the Community Partnership Award presented by the YMCA. This award was given to Sun Prairie Fire, EMS and Police as a result of their involvement in the Friday Nights at the Y program.
Sunshine Supper on the Road 2017
Sunshine Supper on the Road was held Wednesday, September 6, for residents of the Rolling Prairie neighborhood, Both the Sun Prairie Police Department and Fire Department assisted to make the night a huge success!

Members of the Sun Prairie Police & Fire Commission were on hand for the badge pinning ceremony in honor of newly-appointed Assistant Chief Brian Teasdale.
Spirit of Giving campaign 2017
Sun Prairie Police Department's Community Service Officer, Dennis Johnson, delivered three American Girl dolls to Bethlehem Lutheran Church's Pastor Charlie Brandt (a Chaplain with the police department), Joanne D'Alton, and Kris Risch for the church's participation in the Spirit of Giving campaign. The dolls had been donated to the police department for distribution by an individual that wished to remain anonymous. Three local girls will have a very merry Christmas as a result of this very generous donation. The Spirit of Giving campaign helps more than 1,200 Sun Prairie children in need have a brighter Christmas.

Shop With A Cop 2017
The Sun Prairie Police Department held its 18th Annual “Shop with a Cop” event on Saturday, December 2. This is a community-based program, staffed by volunteers and funded entirely by donations, which assists specially selected elementary school students in shopping for their families at Christmas time, when they would not ordinarily be able to do so.

Cub Scout Pack 443 got a tour of the police department with Community Service Officer Cody Ennis. What a great group of kids!
At the June 20th City Council meeting, three new officers took the ceremonial oath of office. Officers Randy Humphrey, Nathan Walker, and Dylan Kahl received their badges from family members.
